Hundreds of these animated, winking-eye signs were made in St. Louis in the early 1950's and shipped to shoe stores nationwide. This sign originally illuminated Weinstein Shoes at 406 South Street. Restored by Davidson Neon in 1984, it now winks at passersby from the window of Jim's Steaks, 4th and South.
