"Philadelphia isn't as bad" t-shirt

$ 25.00

Self esteem issues? Yep, Philly has had more than a few over the years, beginning with losing the nation's capital to D.C. and its financial center to New York City. We were spurned by the United Nations, abandoned by the Athletics and American Bandstand, etc., etc. In 1970 local ad man Elliott Curson captured our lack of self regard with this slogan, created for a local business group and placed on a billboard next to the Schuylkill Expressway west of Conshohocken in an attempt to convince suburbanites to visit Philadelphia. Our friends at Shibe Sports added Frank Rizzo to the scene for a little extra 1970s atmosphere.

The shirt is a Next Level tri-blend of cotton, poly and rayon that's super soft. Fulfillment by Shibe.
